Welcome to this informational green card lottery site brought to you free of charge by The American Dream. The purpose of this site is to inform you about the options you have to participate in the annual US green card lottery which is administrated by the Kentucky Consular Center in Lexington, Kentucky. The American Dream is based in Europe and has been helping people to realize their dream of living in the USA since 1996. It is licensed by the German government and has been able to notify over 5,000 green card winners over the past 8 years.

As indicated above, the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) is in charge of processing the Diversity Immigrant Visa (DV-Lottery) Program. The Lottery program allows people from certain countries to get a permanent resident card in the course of a free and fair lottery. In general there are two ways to apply for the lottery:

1) The website of the US State Department (please click here) which is free of charge but offers no support during the registration process or after you have “won” the green card.

2) The website of private lottery agencies (e.g. The American Dream, please click here) which for a low fee offer help throughout the application process,

the consular process, and whenever you need support after you have won the green card. Free information and brochures are available on www.greencard.info

The Diversity Visa (DV) program is congressionally-mandated and allows up to 55,000 persons from nations that are historically under-represented in terms of migration to the United States to qualify each year for immigrant visas. The program is also known as the “green card lottery” because the winners are determined through a random drawing from among the 10–12 million people who enter each year.

The DV program usually has a deadline for applications in late October or early November, while winners are announced between April and June of the following year. A green card entitles the holder to live and work in the United States indefinitely and without restrictions.

Several immigration offices have developed extensive service offers for individuals interested in applying for the so-called greencard lottery. Among the most popular is the New York based THE AMERICAN DREAM Corporation with offices in the U.S. and Germany, and customer service in English, German, French, Spanish, Polish and Russian. Participation fees start at 45 USD. For free information, please follow the link below.
